Massage
Our resident massage therapist, Teresa Bushnell, says:
"I want to help others
improve the quality of their lives by partnering with them to create
self-directed 'health-full' strategies. I am not the expert in anyone's life,
other than my own. I honor the innate wisdom within everyone and trust that the
people who seek my services can find their own way, guided by both internal and
external resources, such as myself."

Focuses on a specific area of the body (ie. neck, shoulders, forearms).
Reflexology™
Reflexology™ is a science based on the principle that certain areas in the feet
and hands correspond to parts of the body including all the glands and organs.
As these areas are massaged, it triggers a release of stress and tension in the
corresponding zone in the body. Limited contraindications may apply.

Rebalancing™
"Rebalancing™ bodywork is a powerful yet gentle body-centered healing approach
that uses rocking stretching, swinging and vibrational movements to melt
mental/emotional/physical holding patterns locked in tissues and joints. As
these patterns dissolve, an experience of softening, widening, lengthening and
expansion permeate every part of your life, creating positive changes on all
levels." This treatment is done with comfortable clothing on.
Energizing Massage
Energizing massage is a combination of shiatsu massage and the light, brisk
techniques of pre-event sports massage. Shiatsu massage involves the massage
therapist guiding your body through stretches while holding acupressure points.
It addresses the whole body, time is not spent on a specific area. You will
leave this massage feeling more awake and invigorated.
Stones
The hot and jade stone massage approach uses both hot and jade stones to create
a deeply relaxing, yet refreshing and rejuvenating experience. The use of the
alternating temperatures has long been scientifically and medically proven to
be of benefit to the body and the experience of feeling both the deeply
penetrating and relaxing heat of the hot basalt stones alternating with the
refreshing coolness of the jade stones is truly a unique and exhilarating
experience. Please let me know when scheduling a stones massage so I can plan
extra preparation time.
Aromatherapy
During this 90 minute session you will meet with the aromatherapy specialist to
discuss the therapeutic benefits of the essential oils that would be the best
choice for you. Then the oils chosen will be applied during a partial massage
session. A sample of the oil will be sent home with you for continued use
following the massage.
Note: Aromatherapy application is available for any of the above massages,
without clinical consultation, for an additional $5.00
Chair massage
If your business or special event is interested in chair massage please call

We have come together to improve the quality of life. That is the
central issue. Massage is seen as a great tool in improving that quality
of life. I see the foundation of massage to be based on an understanding
and sensitivity to your needs during the treatment. The focus in
treatment is responding to the moment, not on a set routine or
technique. The techniques are used as tools, or a medium through which
you become involved in another life. As a massage therapist, I will act
as a facilitator or a catalyst for change, not as a healer or the
responsible agent of change. Growth and change will naturally occur when
needs are met and not imposed according to the massage therapist's
images or ideals.
Remember, you are primarily responsible for your own growth. I will
respect your personal integrity. Your symptoms are there for a reason.
Use them as education for your own awareness and not merely something to
remove. Learn to see the whole picture. Injuries, chronic conditions,
etc. are related to a person's lifestyle, personality, nutrition, ect.
The are not separated or isolated events in themselves.
"In the end, as in all things, the effective management of the client
is dependent on how one manages' oneself, for we do not teach or learn
by what is said, but from what we feel and sense and know and are"
